The Unrivalled Chicken Rice Hero of Singapore

Singapore’s true Hainanese Chicken Rice is perfected and recognised by many food lovers to be best represented by Wee Nam Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice Restaurant (Opposite Novena Church).

Originally a father and son family-owned business which started in 1987, the famous Wee Nam Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice Restaurant for two generations had proudly preserved the heritage and recipes refined over the years.

Their mission is simply to share their authentic Nanyang-inspired fare with the world by upholding a friendly, open and honest work culture much like what one would expect from a friendly family unit. They believe that quality and value are not exclusive attributes and work hard to consistently deliver the best of both to their customers with the same personal touch like the good old days.

Wee Nam Kee serves “Luji” (stock chicken), “Shaoji” (roasted chicken) and also “Baiji” (white chicken) with other complementary dishes pairing with unique chilli recipe to bring out the best eating experience.

Authenticity Through A Master’s Touch

Since 1960, Master Chef Loh (who is a Master trained under a Hainanese Grand Master) has been refining the Singapore recipe over the years. Together with Mr. Wee Sr., Master Chef Loh and his team are helping to create the special chicken rice and chilli recipe that are being enjoyed by both local and tourists today!

Agreed with Susan. As been to their Wee Nam Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice Restaurant (Opposite Novena Church) just last weekend.

They are charging so high their chicken rice (which tasted much like any coffeeshop or kopitiam Hainan chicken rice).

Come to think of it feel been con by their advertising liao… 😀

Their food is not that great as claimed online and advertisement (also charge much more then normal kopitiam stall) me and my family went there once and till now never go back to it again as we can also buy Hainan chicken with the same taste as their’s !

Simple not sure why others visit it for …. ???

I give them 4-5 (from out of 10 points).

I been there with my boyfriend afew weeks back at Wee Nam Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice Restaurant (Opposite Novena Church) and it’s truth.

Their food is much expensive then coffee shop stall chicken rice and the meat all little plus most importantly the taste is nothing special like those can be brought from any kopitiam near the Foodcourt ones I think can be better then their’s !!! Also their service staffs treat us customers like as we owe them $$$ don’t bother attitude !!!!!

I don’t think I and my boyfriend will ever want to waste $$ to eat there anymore !!!

My family eats there regularly and we like their food and their prices are reasonable. We have tasted terrible chicken rice at food court prices.
Not to mention names that are well known which are expensive and not up to std.
If not happy, try others and compare “apple for apple.””chicken for chicken” just joking!
Only thing not enough seatings on weekends and meal times.
